The Best Wedding Venues in Harford County
In case we haven’t met yet, I am Haley Day, a Maryland wedding photographer based in Harford County! I am also a bride planning her own wedding and I know first hand how important (and stressful) picking out your wedding venue can be! I have photographed at all these venues and I love each and every one of them and I hope this blog post helps you decide which wedding venue is best for you!
As a Maryland wedding photographer I have had the pleasure of capturing beautiful memories at many venues all throughout the region. However, I know when planning a wedding, it is often important for couples to select a venue that is somewhat close to home. This helps keep the chances of friends & family members being able to attend the wedding high, while also keeping some additional expenses (like travel, transportation and hotel rooms) low! So for any of my Maryland couples, in this blog post I am highlighting my five favorite wedding venues in Harford County, Maryland. There are a few venues that stand out to me as exceptional choices for couples looking to tie the knot in this picturesque region, and I certainly love these five: Rockfield Manor, Vignon Manor Farm, Stone Ridge Hollow, The Liriodendron Mansion, and Waters Edge Events Center.
All these venues offer a unique and beautiful setting for your special day, but they also provide exceptional service and a one-of-a-kind experience for you and your guests. Each venue has its own charm and character, and as a wedding photographer, I find each one of them photogenic and a fantastic setting to create beautiful memories!
01. Rockfield Manor
Rockfield Manor is an elegant & historic venue is located in the heart of Bel Air, right in Rockfield Park. The Manor house boasts a warm atmosphere featuring several reception rooms, a cozy living room with a fireplace and a sunroom, with classic architecture and decor that exude timeless elegance. It has several rooms that can be used for intimate gatherings, cocktail hours or bridal preparations.
The outdoor space at Rockfield Manor is equally stunning, with manicured gardens, stone walls, and fountain creates a fairy-tale ambiance for your vows. You can also use the spacious patio or tented area for your reception or cocktail hour, and enjoy views of sunsets over Bel Air. The spacious temperature-controlled covered patio is perfect for receptions and keep guests comfortable. This venue is ideal for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, or bridal showers who want an English manor feel and garden vibes!
I love Rockfield Manor because it offers so much variety and elegance for photos. The manor house itself has so many details and features that add interest and charm to any shot. The outdoor space has so many options for different angles and backgrounds, from lush greenery to rustic stone walls.
Rockfield Manor is truly one of my favorite venues Harford County wedding venues to photograph weddings at.

02. Vignon Manor Farm
If you’re wanting a farm or rustic venue but with a modern and upscale feel, Vignon Manor Farm with its breathtaking views of rolling hills is the perfect fit! This venue is nestled on a 160-acres private family-owned estate in Havre De Grace, Maryland. It offers both indoor and outdoor event space with endless options for your ceremony and reception, and portrait locations!
Every space of this venue is full of natural light, the barn itself is a stunning open space structure with elegant chandeliers and large windows that let in natural light. The indoor space can accommodate up to 275 guests comfortably and any floorpan your heart desires. The luxury farm’s charming Manor House is the perfect setting getting ready with it’s chic and spacious bridal suit. The outdoor space at Vignon Manor Farm is equally impressive. You can choose from several ceremony sites, including the stunning courtyard, overlooking the perfectly manicured lawns.
As a photographer, I love Vignon Manor Farm because it offers so many opportunities for creative shots. The natural beauty of the landscape is unmatched and creates a romantic setting for any season. The barn itself has so much character and charm that it adds warmth and elegance to any photo. Every location at this venue, indoors and out, is simply stunning.

03. Stone Ridge Hollow
Stone Ridge Hollow is one of my favorite wedding venues in Harford County because it has everything you need for a perfect rustic wedding. The property features two beautiful ponds, a rustic barn, and a variety of gardens providing a variety of photo opportunities for your big day. Stone Ridge Hollow is located in a secluded area of Harford County, providing a serene and peaceful setting for your special day. It features a gorgeous barn with high ceilings, exposed beams, chandeliers, and hardwood floors. The barn can accommodate a large guest count and has an attached patio for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail hours. The venue also has a separate cottage house for getting ready on-site.
The best part about Stone Ridge Hollow is the stunning scenery that surrounds it. The venue is situated on acres of rolling hills, fields, woods, and ponds. You’ll have plenty of photo opportunities with the natural beauty of the landscape as your backdrop. Plus, you’ll enjoy the privacy and tranquility of having the entire property to yourself on your wedding day. If you’re looking for a venue that combines elegance and charm with rustic flair and natural beauty, Stone Ridge Hollow is the place for you!

04. The Liriodendron Mansion
There is a reason this blog post is five favorites, because it is just too close to call! But..the Liriodendron Mansion holds a special place in my heart and if I had to pick…I think this is my favorite Harford County Wedding Venue.
(We considered having our own wedding here and I hope to book my Bridal shower at this stunning venue!)
This mansion located in Bel Air offers a beautiful and elegant setting for your special day, especially if you are considering having an intimate sized wedding or looking for a venue that has a garden or European feel. The mansion’s stunning architecture and well-manicured gardens provide a romantic and timeless backdrop for your ceremony and reception. My most favorite details of this venue is that every room has a fireplace in it and the back patio is covered with wisteria, blooming in May!
The Liriodendron Mansion is a historic estate that dates back to the early 20th century. It was built by Dr. Howard Kelly, one of the founding fathers of Johns Hopkins Hospital, as his summer home. The mansion features stunning architecture with Greek Revival elements, such as columns, pediments, and porticos. The mansion also boasts beautiful gardens with fountains, statues, and flowers that create a romantic setting for your wedding day. The Liriodendron Mansion can host up to 120 guests for a seated table reception or up to 150 guests for a cocktail reception. The venue offers huge savings to couples by offering several packages that include tables, chairs, linens, and access to the mansion’s rooms for getting ready. If you are looking for a venue that exudes history, charm, and elegance, with a European feel, I cannot recommend the wonderful Liriodendron Mansion enough!

05. Water’s Edge Events Center
Water’s Edge Events Center is a gorgeous waterfront venue that offers breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay. The venue has a modern and elegant design with floor-to-ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers, hardwood floors, and a spacious ballroom that can accommodate hundreds of guests. The venue also has an outdoor patio and lawn area that are perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and portraits! Water’s Edge Events Center has a professional and friendly staff that will take care of every detail of your event, from catering to coordination. If you are looking for a venue that combines beauty, convenience, and quality service, Water’s Edge Events Center is a great choice. This venue is perfect for couples looking for a waterfront wedding, and with its outdoor terrace and its grand ballroom, couples can enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces for their wedding.
