Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar Engagement Session
Spring is here and it has me reflecting back on this April 2022 engagement session with Lizzy and Nick at Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar!
We made the most of the April blooms that you can find around northern Delaware and we started their session at the incredibly romantic Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar and then headed over to the cherry blossom trees at Goodstay Gardens! Lizzy & Nick had a smile on their face the entire time during our session and it was never because I was telling them to, these two have so much joy, laughter and love between the two of them, their smiles are all natural and endless!
I am a Maryland wedding photographer and included in all of my wedding packages is an engagement session, which is honestly the most important part of my process! Having an engagement session with your photographer is a chance to meet each other in person, feel more comfortable in front of the camera and it lays down the foundation of the “posing” and flow that will happen on the wedding day! But, lucky for me, I have known Lizzy & Nick for years and their engagement session with me was a chance for us to hangout and spend an afternoon together!
Lizzy & Nick will be married so soon, later this month in April 2023 and I am so excited to see these two get married!
After we finished up at Gibraltar, we walked across the street over to the University of Delaware’s Goodstay Gardens! I love pairing these two locations together because they are so close in proximity and it adds to much variety to my clients galleries! Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar has secret garden vibes, with its estate grounds, reflecting pool and the striking iron gates while Goodstay Gardens is FULL OF BLOOMS! Goodstay Gardens is open dawn to dusk, all year round and I think my favorite time of year to visit this garden is in the spring! In April the cherry blossom trees and magnolias are showing off (it’s actually my hidden gem for when clients want a cherry blossom session) and in May in June their peonies are so pretty in pink! You can never go wrong choosing to have your session at this location!
