Paige & Nick’s Spring Celebration
Paige and Nick’s May wedding at Castle Farm in Snow Hill, Maryland was everything a spring celebration should be: elegant, colorful, and full of heart. From an emotional first look to a reception tent glowing under the evening sky, their day was the perfect example of how a ranch wedding can feel refined and design forward. As a Baltimore wedding photographer, I loved how every part of the property, from the willow trees by the pond to the horse pastures at sunset, created settings for timeless portraits.
A Day Full of Personality
The couple shared a tearful first look before their outdoor ceremony, held beside the pond with views of Castle Farm’s rolling landscape. Guests explored the property throughout the day, walking through stables and pastures on their way to cocktail hour and later into the big white reception tent. In a moment no one will forget, a horse gave birth the morning of the wedding, and Nick and Paige were invited to name the foal.
Thoughtful Design and Elevated Ranch Style
This spring wedding leaned into a pastel palette of pinks, peaches, yellows, and pops of purple, brought to life by Veronica Blooms Floral Design. Paige’s bridesmaids wore mismatched sage green and floral dresses, a mix of shades and fabrics that looked beautiful against the farm’s green pastures.
At cocktail hour, signature drinks were named after the couple’s cats and served with cocktail napkins featuring custom artwork of a Maryland crab in a cowboy hat by Slate and Brush. Guests mingled under the willow trees by the water while a “beer pony” delivered cold drinks and cuddles. Every detail from the wedding emblem to the illustrated signage balanced polish with playful charm.
Reception Highlights
Inside the tent, the celebration unfolded with dinner, dancing, and music by Ed Rock Entertainment. The evening felt effortless and warm, blending upscale style with the relaxed joy of a countryside setting. From the low bun and soft curls styled by Updos for I Dos, to Paige’s dewy, pink-toned makeup, every look and detail tied together beautifully.
Capturing the Day at Castle Farm
Castle Farm is a dream to photograph in spring. The property offers endless backdrops: wide pastures, willow-lined ponds, and skies that open up for golden hour. I used drone photography to capture the scale of the day, including aerial views of guests at cocktail hour, the walk through the pasture to the reception tent, and the full property as the celebration came alive.
Why Choose Castle Farm for Your Wedding
Couples love Castle Farm because the entire day can unfold in one place, from getting ready to the last dance. The ranch setting feels private, expansive, and elevated, giving you a full wedding experience without leaving the property. From a photography perspective, the variety of settings means portraits are never limited, with pastures, ponds, and willow trees offering countless options.
