Waterfront Ceremony and a Sail Tent Reception with Maddie & Anthony at Bohemia Manor Farm
Maddie and Anthony’s Bohemia Manor Farm wedding was the kind of summer celebration that felt effortless, elevated, and full of personality. Set on the Chesapeake Bay, the day flowed from the manor house getting ready spaces to a waterfront ceremony surrounded by florals, then into lawn cocktail hour with an oyster bar and a custom monogram ice sculpture. With light blue bridesmaid dresses, Maddie’s sweeping romantic gown, and endless blue-and-white blooms, every part of the day felt cohesive and thoughtfully designed.
A CHESAPEAKE BAY WEDDING DAY AT BOHEMIA MANOR FARM
Bohemia Manor Farm is one of those venues that gives you options without feeling scattered. The property is huge, and each space has its own mood: the manor house for getting ready, an open lawn for cocktail hour, a long tree-lined driveway for portraits, and the sail tent reception space that feels magical once the sun goes down. It’s a true Maryland waterfront venue, and Maddie and Anthony leaned into that setting in the best way.
GETTING READY IN THE MANOR HOUSE
The manor house is ideal for a calm start to the day. Light-filled rooms, plenty of space to spread out, and a setting that feels timeless without being fussy. Maddie’s hair by Katie McGee was pulled into a low romantic bun with soft pieces framing her face, a classic look that photographed beautifully from every angle. Makeup by JNP Beauty tied everything together with a polished, natural finish that still felt like her.

LIGHT BLUE BRIDESMAID DRESSES AND WHITE PARASOLS
Maddie’s bridesmaids wore light blue dresses with an off-the-shoulder neckline, which was such a clean, flattering choice for a summer waterfront wedding. Guests held white parasols during the ceremony, both practical and honestly very chic in photos. Parasols instantly make an outdoor ceremony feel intentional, and they looked incredible against the bright florals and the water behind the ceremony space.

A WATERFRONT CEREMONY SURROUNDED BY FLORALS
The ceremony took place right on the water, and it was one of the most striking ceremony setups I’ve photographed at Bohemia Manor Farm. Twisted Vine Florals created a blue-and-white floral moment that did not play small. The aisle was lined with florals, and the top of the aisle was filled with ground arrangements that made it look like Maddie and Anthony were standing inside a field of flowers. With Two Rivers Chamber Music playing during the ceremony, the whole space felt romantic and peaceful, even with the summer sun overhead.

LAWN COCKTAIL HOUR WITH OYSTERS AND A CUSTOM ICE SCULPTURE
Cocktail hour was held on the lawn, and it was a true guest experience moment. There was an oyster bar, and Ice and Spices created a custom ice sculpture featuring Maddie and Anthony’s wedding monogram. It was so fun and surprising, and guests were genuinely obsessed. Two Rivers Chamber Music continued through cocktail hour, which kept the energy elevated while still feeling relaxed.

RECEPTION UNDER THE WHITE SAIL TENT
The reception took place under the white sail tent, and once the sun set, it turned into one of those magical summer nights. With draping by On Your Mark Lighting, the space felt soft and romantic, and the open-air tent made it feel like dinner and dancing were happening under the stars. DJ Jimmy T Entertainment kept the party moving, Sweet Somethings Dessert Shop handled the cake, and Just Hitched Films captured the day alongside me.

WHY BOHEMIA MANOR FARM IS A TOP MARYLAND WATERFRONT WEDDING VENUE
If you want a venue that feels like a destination without leaving Maryland, Bohemia Manor Farm is hard to beat. The waterfront ceremony option is a standout, the manor house makes getting ready easy, and the property has so many portrait locations built in, from the tree-lined driveway to the open fields and bay views. It’s a venue that supports a full wedding weekend feel, even when it’s a one-day celebration.
A BOHEMIA MANOR FARM WEDDING TO REMEMBER
Maddie and Anthony’s day was full of the kind of details guests remember: parasols in the sun, strings by the water, an oyster bar on the lawn, and a reception that felt intimate and alive all night long. It was stylish without trying too hard, and joyful in the way the best weddings always are.
